How many turtles per box?

3 votes · 9 views · Last vote almost 2 years ago

if the radius of one circler turtle is 30cm how many turtles would fit in a 3m box?

To determine how many circular turtles with a radius of 30 cm would fit into a 3m by 3m square box, we'll start by calculating the area of the box and the area of one turtle.

The area of the box is 300x300 = 90,000cm2

The area of one turtle: 30cm2 * Pi = 2,827.43cm2

Since you can't have a fraction of a turtle, the maximum number of whole turtles that can fit in the box is 31.

However, this calculation assumes perfect packing efficiency (which isn't realistic for circles in a square). The actual number might be slightly less due to the gaps between the circles. A more detailed packing analysis would be needed for an exact number.

Yet, if you answered 30, that's the correct answer.
